KWWSPCA recent cat neutering scheme

To try to reduce the number of unwanted kittens being born, especially to wild or semi-wild cats, in December 2017 and January 2018 the KWWSPCA sponsored a cat neutering scheme with two Kildare veterinary practices – Athy Vetcare (05986 31498) and Newbridge Veterinary Hospital (045 431555) whereby the cost of neutering a male cat was just €10 and the cost of spaying a female cat was just €25, the rest of the cost being covered by the KWWSPCA and the Veterinary Practices themselves. This proved very popular and almost 150 cats were neutered during this two month period. The scheme has finished for the time being, but when funds become available, it will be offered again.

If you need to borrow a cat trap to trap a cat, please let us know. Any wild or semi-wild cat that is caught and neutered must be returned to its original home.
