Dover is another one of our lurchers who hopes that people will do some research to discover what wonderful pets lurchers make. Dover is 2 years old, and he is now looking for a family and couch to call his own. He is a good natured friendly and affectionate dog who currently shares his indoor kennel and outdoor run with another lurcher. He is gentle and easy on the lead, and likes to be taken for his walks, and like most lurchers, he will be happy with two shorter walks of about 20-25 minutes, or one longer walk of about 50 mins to an hour, and toilet breaks later in the day. Once he has his walks, he will be happy to laze around snoozing for the rest of the day. As lurchers can have high prey drive, we generally don’t recommend a home with cats, small furry dogs, or other small creatures such as hens, etc. Lurchers are generally very good around children who have been taught to respect dogs and who know how to behave with them. They also like to keep their living area nice and clean and therefore are usually either already house trained or are very easy to train.
Dover is neutered, vaccinated and chipped (chip number 972274200317086, origin Ireland) .
