Sarge (Reserved)

This gorgeous dog is Sarge.  Sarge is 2-3 years old. Sarge is a pointer cross who came into our care from the ISPCA having come to them from a very overcrowded property.  Sarge is quite a timid dog but in the right home he will be an absolutely lovely pet.  He is initially nervous when he meets people but with gentle encouragement he will go walking with you…and once he gets going he loves the walk and is very good on the lead. He loves our kitchen and is in his element when he is relaxing on the couch or in a nice comfy bed.  He seriously loves to be given treats and all his nervousness disappears when that special biscuit is produced.   He is very good with other dogs, and we feel that his new home should have another dog as Sarge is not used to spending time alone.  He shares his kennel and run with Kojak and Murph, and loves spending time in the garden with them, and he happily plays chase in the garden with Murph.  His home should not have loud or boisterous children, and we would prefer a home where there are no young children. He does not like loud or sudden noises. His new family should be prepared to be gentle and understanding with Sarge and they will be rewarded with a beautiful pet who will bring them years of joy.  We think that Sarge is house trained. Sarge is neutered, chipped and vaccinated, and can be seen at our shelter near Athgarvan in Co Kildare.  We ask for a minimum adoption donation of 150 euro to partly offset our veterinary and other expenses, a secure garden is require and a home check applies.  If you have that very special home and you are the perfect person to give Sarge the life he deserves, please email kwwspca@gmail.com or contact 0871279835.

Sarge and Murph enjoying time in the kitchen

Murph and Sarge are two pointers who came to us recently from the ISPCA. They were timid and shy but are really coming on in leaps and bounds, and can be seen here enjoying forbidden biscuits in our kitchen. It's amazing how the rustle of a biscut wrapper always has the effect of bringing even the timid dogs out of their shells 🙂
