Eve is looking for a new home. She has come into the care of the KWWSPCA from the Kildare Dog Pound. She is a lurcher cross between 1 and 2 years old. She is very affectionate and good with other dogs. She walks well on the lead and loves her walks and being allowed to run free around the garden area of the KWWSPCA Shelter. However, she doesn’t like to be shut in, so she would need to go to a home that would have a very secure fence or wall around the property so she could not wander. Gracie/formerly Gary is looking for a new home. We think she would be an ideal dog for an older person provided there are no cats in the home. She was rehomed recently, but due to unforeseen family circumstances, she has been returned into the care of the KWWSPCA for rehoming. Gracie came into our care in the summer, having been found abandoned, heavily pregnant. She is about 9 years old and should not have been carrying pups at that age. Hunter is a male collie who came to us recently as a cruelty case. He is 1-2 years old and is friendly towards people but is quite reactive towards other dogs therefore he would be best going to a home where he is the only dog. He walks well on the lead. Because of his larger size he would probably do best in a family without very small children. He is very clean in his kennel at night therefore we feel that he may be house trained. Lizzie is a 16 month old Lurcher/Labrador cross. She is a lovely dog who needs lots of exercise and would do well living in a home with other large dogs that she could run and play with so that she could expend some of her energy. She has been living in a home with two cats learned to keep away from them. She is bouncy around children therefore would be best suited to a home with older children. Minnie came to us recently from the pound and we think she is an English bull dog/labrador dross. She is about 5 years old. She is very good on the lead. She very much likes to be with humans, and spends all her time at the shelter hoping that one of our volunteers will go to her to give her lots of love and attention. She does not like to be left alone and a home where there is somebody around for most of the day would be best suited to her. She will need a secure garden. Patch came into our care after his mother Megan and he and his 7 siblings were dumped in a box in a field in February. They were just 6 weeks old and sadly one pup died. They were in horrific condition, emaciated and terrified. Megan and the 6 other pups have found loving homes and we would now like to find a home for Patch.
