Fitzy

Fitzy has been booked for a home

Fitzy came into the care of the KWWSPCA after being abandoned; he was found horribly emaciated. Since coming into our care he has gained at least 8 kg thanks to the splendid care he got in his foster home. He still needs to gain some more weight but he won’t be long about getting there.
Fitzy is an absolute sweetheart and as you can see he’s a very happy boy and enjoying life now. He got on great with the other dogs in his foster home as well as the resident cats and even the hamster! He is now at the KWWSPCA Shelter and is getting on really well.  He’s very intelligent and playful.   Fitzy understandably has some food aggression issues so he would not be suitable for a home with small children just to be on the safe side as he sometimes snaps food out of hands. Otherwise he is very friendly with adults and children and really craves human and canine company.   We are looking for a home where there is someone home a good portion of the day and preferably with another dog. He can be rehomed with cats and other animals. Basically if you are looking for a complete cuddle bug, Fitzy may be the dog for you.
He is neutered and he has been vaccinated and microchipped. We request an adoption fee of €130 to partly offset his veterinary costs.  A dog licence (€20 from the Post Office or online from you County Council) also has to be purchased before a dog can be adopted from the KWWSPCA.   If you would like to meet Fitzy or would like to offer him a home please call 087 1279835. A home check applies.
