KWWSPCA DOG WALK & GARDEN VISIT @ Coolcarrigan House
Jun 7 @ 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

One of the KWWSPCA regular dog walks round the lovely gardens and woodlands of Coolcarrigan House.  We hope to have a large number of the dogs in our care on the walk and would welcome volunteers at the Shelter beforehand to collect the dogs, to take them on the walk and then to return them to the Shelter afterwards.

The Gardens of Coolcarrigan are well worth a visit and anyone can come along, even if they don’t want to do the dog walk.

Coolcarrigan is about 20 km (12 miles) north of Naas.  Take the Caragh Road out of Naas, drive through the village of Caragh and pass Mondello Race Track on your left.  Continue on straight.  Cross over the main Prosperous to Allenwood Road with Dag Welds pub on the corner.  Keep heading straight on through the village of Coill Dubh and then Coolcarrigan is about 2 km beyond the village on the left.  There will be a KWWSPCA sign on the gate.

FINAL ARRANGMENTS

KWWSPCA WALK THIS SUNDAY – ‘THREE COURSES CHALLENGE’

Just some final details about the KWWSPCA ‘Three Courses Challenge’ this Sunday. 5 July. We are expecting a great turnout of supporters and dogs and look forward to seeing everyone there.

If you would like to just walk one or two of the racecourses that would be fine, but hopefully there will be a good few people wanting to take up the challenge and walk all three racecourse in County Kildare in the same day, Punchestown, Naas and The Curragh.

Many people have collected sponsorship for the event, but if you would prefer to give a donation on the day, that would be fine.

We will be providing water for walkers and their dogs but hopefully everyone will bring their own refreshments for the day.

Punchestown Racecourse: The walk starts at 10.30 and will last just under an hour. The gates to the Racecourse will open at 10.00 and will close again at 12.00. Drive in the main gate and head straight down until you come to the car park on your right, in front of the Racecourse buildings.

Naas Racecourse: The walk starts at 12.30 and will last about 45 minutes. The gates to the Racecourse in Dublin Road and in Tipper Road will both be open from about 12.00 until about 2.00. Parking is in the car park in front of the main entrance building of the Racecourse.

The Curragh Racecourse: The walk starts at 2.30 and will last about an hour. We will be meeting in the car park just below the TRM Store and Café. Heading from the Newbridge direction, drive up towards the Racecourse and turn right at the roundabout just before the Racecourse buildings. The car park is on the left.
