As well as helping animals in need and promoting animal welfare, we have important obligations to our supporters. In return for your commitment to our work we make this commitment to you.

You are entitled to:

  • Information concerning our work
  • Confidentiality and a choice as to whether you wish to receive further information from the KWWSPCA
  • Assurance that the Society has high levels of accountability and transparency
  • Assurance that donors and prospective donors have clarity and assurances about how their donations are used

Governance Practice

The board of the KWWSPCA is committed to the principles of good governance and believes in openness, transparency and accountability.

The KWWSPCA’s Commitment to Standards in Fundraising Practice

The KWWSPCA is fully committed to achieving the standards contained within the Statement of Guiding Principles for Fundraising. The statement was developed by the ICTR (Irish Charities Tax Research Ltd.) and exists to provide charities in Ireland with a Fundraising Code of Practice. The KWWSPCA believes it meets the standards the Code of Practice sets out.

The Kildare and West Wicklow Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ltd is a company limited by guarantee, registered in Ireland with the Company Number 448178. The KWWSPCA is a Registered Charity CHY 6280 and is registered with the Charities Regulatory Authority (Number 20011048). The Registered Office is Mullinasella, Calverstown, Co. Kildare.
