Amy is looking for her forever home. She was found abandoned with her brother, Jack, and has now come into the care of the KWWSPCA. She is about 12 weeks old and we think she is a Labrador cross. She will grow into quite a large dog. She is very playful, loves people and company, and is also good with other dogs. She has had her first vaccination and is microchipped. She will be ready to be rehomed after she has had her second vaccination at the beginning of November. She is living at the KWWSPCA Animal Shelter at the moment if you would like to meet her. She will need to go to a home where there would be someone at home with her for a good part of the day as she is still a puppy and will need a lot of time and attention spent on her to give her initial training. She would not do well in a home where she would be left on her own for long periods of time. She will also need a fair amount of exercise as she grows older, so the new owner will have to be prepared for this. If you would like to visit Amy, the Shelter is open Mondays to Saturdays from 1.00 – 3.00 and at other times by making an appointment on 087 1279835. There is a minimum adoption fee of €150 (€50 deposit on booking) which will cover the cost of Amy’s neutering when she is old enough, if it is carried out at one of the veterinary practices where the KWWSPCA has an account. A dog licence and a dog collar tag are required to complete the adoption and a home visit applies.
