Bob. Applications closed.

Meet Bob. Our lovely fluffy boy is now ready to go to his new home. We think he is a husky cross…probably a husky/akita/labrador. We think he is about 3 years old. He certainly has the goofy-faced look of a labrador and he has a lovely temperament. He is a quiet and good natured dog, very good with people, and we have never seen him to show any agression towards other dogs. He is good on the lead and he is house trained. We have no idea what he is like with cats. He is a huge favourite with all of our volunteers, and our groomer, who spent over two hours with him on her table, said the following about him
‘Bob is an angel. I love him. Today was painful at times for him (especially being washed!!) But I was rewarded with licks. It always feels like I’ve travelled a journey with these dogs. Working so closely with them, relieving their pain for 3/4 hours builds a bond 💖 I’m jealous of whoever gets him’.

We think Bob is amazing…but would remind anyone thinking of adopting him that he will need to be brushed regularily to keep his coat in good condition. He could shed his coat twice a year, and it is important to continually “rake out” the old coat, using a pin brush and metal comb.

Bob has been neutered, vaccinated and chipped (chip number 972274200049754, origin Ireland).
