Jack is looking for his forever home. He was found abandoned with his sister, Amy, and has now come into the care of the KWWSPCA. He is about 12 weeks old and we think he is a Labrador cross.  He will grow into quite a large dog.   He is very playful, loves people and company, and is also good with other dogs. He has had his first vaccination and is microchipped. He will be ready to be rehomed after he has had his second vaccination at the beginning of November. He is living at the KWWSPCA Animal Shelter at the moment if you would like to meet him.  He will need to go to a home where there would be someone at home with him for a good part of the day as he is still a puppy and will need a lot of time and attention spent on him to give him initial training.  He would not do well in a home where he would be left on his own for long periods of time.  He will also need a fair amount of exercise as he grows older, so the new owner will have to be prepared for this. If you would like to visit Jack, the Shelter is open Mondays to Saturdays from 1.00 – 3.00 and at other times by making an appointment on 087 1279835. There is a minimum adoption fee of €150 (€50 deposit on booking) which will cover the cost of Jack’s neutering when he is old enough, if it is carried out at one of the veterinary practices where the KWWSPCA has an account. A dog licence and a dog collar tag are required to complete the adoption and a home visit applies.
