Meet Satin. At 7 months old Satin is still a baby, but she is a big baby currently weighing about 12kg and we expect that she will grow to be a large adult dog. Satin’s mother is a Saluki and her father is a big Akita therefore she has big dog genes and anyone considering adoption needs to bear this in mind. Satin is a lovely dog who is learning very quickly at our shelter. Previously she did not have any experience of dogs outside her own home but she is very quickly getting to like socialising with the other dogs at the shelter and spent her afternoon sharing her run with Max, licking and kissing him regularly. She took to walking on the lead without any difficulty and loves to be taken out walking either on her own or with another dog. As she is still a puppy we would like her to go to a home where she will have company during the day. This is important so that she gets the socialisation and training that a dog of her age requires. She will need some guidance as she was not house trained when she came to us. She has not had any experience of cats or of young children, but as she is still a puppy, and is going to be a large dog, we will not rehome her to a family with young children. Satin will be spayed, chipped and vaccinated. If you would like to express an interest in Satin please email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact 0871279835. We ask for a minimum donation of €130 to partly offset our veterinary costs, a licence and collar tag are required to complete the adoption, and a home visit applies.
