Scooby: applications closed

Scooby is a 4 year old Shih Tzu who will soon be available for rehoming. He came to us with a fairly horrific eye injury which we thought would cause the loss of his eye, but thankfully our wonderful vet, Aisling, has managed to work her miracles and save it.
Scooby is an affectionate dog who likes cuddles and hugs, but he also like to be taken for a good walk. He will walk quite a distance, around the block is not enough for him. Scooby got on very well with Eddie, a very old yorkie who was at the shelter for a while, however we don’t know how he is with other dogs. He barks at some of our dogs, and is fine with others of them, therefore a meet and greet would be necessary if he is to go to a home with another dog. We don’t know how he is with cats. Scooby would like a home where there is someone at home for a good part of the day and is available to take him walking. We will not rehome to families with small children and will prioritise families with children over 10 years old, or adult only families. Scooby is neutered, vaccinated and chipped (chip number 972274001392860, origin Ireland).
