Troy. Applications closed.

Troy is a very handsome and very friendly lurcher/collie/lab cross and is about 1.5 – 2 years old. He currently shares his indoor kennel and outdoor run with a female lurcher and absolutely adores her so we think he will possibly get on well with female dogs however we do not know how he is with male dogs. He is good on the lead, and loves his walks. He seems clean in his kennel overnight so we think he might be house trained. He is very affectionate and loves attention, he will nudge your hand with his head in order to get you to rub him. His ideal home should have someone who is at home for a good part of the day, and it should have secure, high surrounds as lurchers and collies are both very good jumpers, and we would not like him to decide to take himself for a walk. As there are no children at our shelter we don’t know what experience of children he has had, and therefore are looking for a family with children aged 6 and over. We think that a cat free home will best suit Troy. A meet and greet with another dog would be necessary if his adoptive home already has a dog in residence.
Troy is neutered, vaccinated and chipped (chip number 972274200161876, origin Ireland). If you are interested in adopting Troy please submit an expression of interest form which can be found in the following link
