Whisper: applications closed

Whisper is a 1 year old bouncy collie who recently came into our care. Unfortunately Whisper was too good at her job, and would regularily herd the neighbours sheep into her owners yard while he was in having his tea, so he felt that she was unsuitable as a farm dog and surrendered her to a pound from where she came into our care. Whisper is very very affectionate…she absolutely loves every volunteer at the shelter and greets us all with a waggy tail and hugs and kisses. While she is friendly with other dogs we want to rehome her to a family withour another dog or a cat…because she will herd them too. She will need a home where she gets LOTS of exercise and mental stimulation in the form of plenty of walks, ideally agility training and some flyball training. She likes to chase a ball in our garden. She is spotless in her kennel as she is fully house trained. Because she is bouncy, she will be better in a home with older children or no children, we will not consider applications form any families with children under the age of 13. She will need a good sized and secure garden and we would like a home where there is someone at home, and not working, for a good part of the day. she is good on the lead but can be a little bit enthusiastic when she sees another dog. Whisper has been spayed, vaccinated and chipped (chip number 9722742000107322 origin Ireland).
