Dexter: applications closed

Dexter is a 2.5 year old Retriever/Collie cross who was surrendered to Dublin City Dog Pound. He had been bought for an autistic child but became too big and didn’t suit the needs of the family. He is a friendly, good natured dog who loves to be with people. He is not a trained therapy dog and will not be rehomed as such because we do not have the knowledge or expertise to determine the suitability of any dog to such situations. Understandably, he is very sad because he can’t understand why he has found himself away from the home he has known since he was a puppy. He is craving human company and the comforts of a home again. He likes his walks, is good on the lead and will need a lot of long walks as he is much overweight, probably from lack of exercise and too many treats. He will need a home ideally with active adults or teenagers who are willing to commit to his exercise needs.

Dexter is neutered, vaccinated and chipped (chip number 972274000442937, origin Ireland).
