Meet Kiki. She is a two year old American Staffie. She is about 55cms tall and weighs 24kg. Kiki came to us when she was surrendered by her owner who was no longer in a position to take care of her. She lived in a family with four children therefore she is very used to children and is good with them. She was allowed to roam a lot and is therefore very used to other dogs and gets on very well with them. She has not lived with a cat, however she spent a night with one of our volunteers who has cats and kittens. Kiki did not know what they were and was curious. She didn’t chase them or do them any harm. She loves to be with people, initially she will be a little shy but she very quicky becomes affectionate and just wants to be by your side. She loves her walks and walks very well on the lead. She loves spending time in our garden relaxing with Zola with whom she very quickly became friends. On the night that she stayed with one of our volunteers she slept in the bed with her. Initially she was shy to relax on the couch in our kitchen but once she became used to her surroundings she was happy to settle down and take treats. She is a very sweet and gentle dog and will make a lovely pet for some lucky family. She has been spayed, chipped and vaccinated.
