Lulu. Applications closed

Lulu is a small Dachshund cross who is now ready to go to her new home. When she first came to us she was very nervous and was very frightened, particularly of men, but after spending time in a foster home she has really come around and is happy with both men and women, but she is not at all happy around children, having suffered abuse at their hands. Despite being a very small dog, she is not a dog who does well by beirng treated as a ‘handbag’ dog, or by being molly coddled. She is not a dog who can be spoiled rotten as she would not do well in such a situation. Her new family willl need to be initially patient with her as she settles in, and it will take a little time for her to become settled and comfortable in her new home. Once she is comfortable she is quite affectionate. She walks well on a lead and harness. She is not fond of being picked up unexpectedly. Her adoptive family must be prepared to follow guidelines given to them by her adoptive family. We believe her to be 3-4 years old.
She seems good with other dogs, and could live in a home with or without another dog. She is neutered, vaccinated and chipped (chip number 972274001311745, origin Ireland). If you are interested in adopting Lulu please submit an expression of interest form which can be found in the following link
No calls please. We ask for a minimum donation of €150 when we rehome a dog to partly offset our veterinary and other expenses.
