Shelly was a very young cat, not much more than a kitten herself, who came into the care of the KWWSPCA when heavily pregnant. As all our foster homes were full, she was cared for at our Animal Shelter until she produced her lovely litter of kittens. When the kittens were a few days old, a foster home was found for the whole family, and they stayed in foster care until the kittens were old enough to be found homes. Shelly was a feral cat and when she first came to the Shelter she was frightened and very wary of our volunteers who were caring for her. But within a couple of days, she was allowing our volunteers to stroke her and handle her kittens and became a most affectionate cat who was adopted by her foster carer and is now living a very comfortable home life.
