Education

We offer a free education programme for local schools. The purpose of our school programme is to educate young people about the care and responsibility involved in the ownership of a pet.

School Visits – our volunteers visit local schools and usually bring along one or two of the dogs and sometime a cat as well from our shelter. We give a short presentation about the KWWSPCA and answer questions about what we do and about animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.

Shelter Tour – older students (transition year upwards) can visit the shelter on a class visit. Typically these visits last 1-2 hours and a presentation about the work of the KWWSPCA and a tour of the facilities.  Unfortunately, we do not allow students to walk our dogs.
